I've been there,
And I've learned,
That appoliegies and forgiveness go hand in hand,
And sometimes people do stupid things,
But don't know how to say they're stupid for doing what they've done,
Or saying wwhy they did,
What they did,
I've been there,
And I know how it feels,
To be the one forgiving
And the one appologizing,
And sometimes,
A mistake can lead you back to where you need to be,
And learning by mistakes,
Is what I do every day,
So just be patient,
I'm a work in progress.
Wow this is cool, is this a poem you wrote or is this something you found?
No, I wrote it myself. Thanks for the compliment.
This post is for anyone who's had a bad day, messed up with their kids, (etc), been discouraged by regrets. Regrets are a part of living. So to those who've messed up. Take heart. So has everyone else. Thank God no one's perfect. lol.
Too bad my dad doesn't know computers, I could copy and paste this into his computer somehow. He has messed up with me big time.
Nice haven't messed up, but nice writing.
Well, thank you. funny how people won't accept an apology. Your dad should be proud of who you are. He's not perfectt. There's only one person who is.
Learning how to graciously accept an apology is just as important as learning how and when to give an apology.
Unfortunately, there aren't any hard and fast rules about this sort of thing. My own philosophy about accepting an apology is: "so, you screwed up. I've screwed up. It's a screwy world. But, that's what makes it fun."

very well said. lol.
Yes, I've been there too. Apologizing and forgiving have always been easy for me to do. Even if the bad memories come back to haunt me at times, forgiving always comes easy. The hardest thing for me though is forgiving myself for doing something very stupid. lol At times I feel like my own worst enemy. I guess it's very easy for me to be hard on myself. But I'm learning how to overcome it. lol
Very creative and thought-provoking.
